After Howard's four year hitch in the Air Force, we were married in February 1970. He has always said, that I set the year date, so he could easily remember how long we have been married. This past February, we celebrated our 36th.! And, he is still as wonderful today, as he was then... Howard and I stayed in Newhall till September 1973, then moved to Eureka, California, so he could complete his education at Humboldt State, with a BS in Forestry. After four years in Eureka, we moved to Oroville, California, where we still live today. I always thought it would be a short stop-over until the next job offer came along for him. Little did I realize that offer would be Oroville! This month is our 29th. year in Oroville. Guess my calculations were a little off! Glad they were, we love northern California!! We have two great kids!! Kellee is not married (as yet, but there's no hurry),and lives in Chico, California where she works at Lowe's and is continuing her education. Craig is married to Vicki, and they have the most beautiful and wonderful daughter, Addie!! Our next granddaughter is due September 29. So...it does not look like Howard and I will be able make it down for the class reunion. Thanks to this wonderful website, we will be able to keep in contact with the classmates! My mom, Bert, and Howard's parents have past away. My dad, Pete, is living in Chico. Dad will be 85 next month. He still drives, which is great! Dad is a member of the Chico Elks Lodge. Between the Elk's and having donuts with his buddies every morning, and learning more about the Chico area, he stays busy. Once or twice a year, he goes down to Santa Clarita, and the surrounding areas to visit old friends. Howard works for Allied Insurance (Loss Control Dept), and has sixteen counties to service. He plans to retire in two years. I have been working for a local special water/hydroelectric agency in Oroville for twenty-seven years, in September. I plan to retire in three years. We are looking forward to retirement!! We envy those of you who have already retired. There are MANY places in the U.S. that we want to travel to. Howard plans for us to spend a month in the DC area, alone. He is such a history buff!! It has been great reading the bio's on our classmates. Sorry we will miss the event. Have a GREAT reunion!!
