After high school I attented Valley college and graduated with the first ever class from College of the Canyons, along with Dennis Agajanian and 16 others, (small 1st class, I wonder when that reunion will be). My husband and I were married in '71 and moved to Lancaster soon after and have been here ever since. I started working as an aide in a class for emotionally disturbed children, was a substitute teacher for 8 years, then after my children were in elementary school I returned to CSUN to finish my degree. I then went to work full time as a teacher at a local school where I am still working, no plans for retiring yet!(Some days I am more than ready though) My husband and I are active in our church and have taken some wonderful mission trips to Romania, Panama, and Mexico over the years, working with orphanages and Latin American children's schools. After our Romania trip, my girlfriend and I send our husbands home and stayed over in Germany and France to do some touring. For the past 15 years I have volunteered with Royal Family Kids' Camp, a camp for abused children, photography is a hobby so one of my jobs (besides the fundraising) is making a photo album for each child who attends camp. I also enjoy volunteering at our local hospital one day a week. As many of you have noted though, being a grandparent has been one of the most exciting gifts so far, and the best part of growing older. It has been so much fun working with the reunion committee and getting reacquainted with classmates, I can't wait for Oct. 6, 7, & 8th Hope to see you all there!
